TESTIMONY FROM A TUNISIAN BELIEVER

I am an elderly, seventy-eight year old man. My daughters accepted Christ in 2006. Shortly after, my wife also believed. I was tolerant of their beliefs because I had lived in Germany for forty-two years. I heard much about Christianity, yet, I personally adhered to Islam. Secretly, I saw that Islam was wrong, but I would not reject it because of my pride. For fifteen years I knew that Christianity was true, but I would not change. I am an old man. What would people say about me? God’s grace was greater than my stubborn heart. He spoke to me through Christian believers. They prayed with many tears and fasted for my salvation. A day came when I saw a vision of Jesus as a shepherd with sheep. He said, “You are one of my sheep.” I surrendered my life to God. I am so happy that God has saved me at this old age and the Lord has spoken to me. Pray that those who are of my generation will still have the opportunity to know of God’s salvation.

OBSTACLE TO A DISCIPLE MAKING MOVEMENT IN TUNISIA

Pray for every effort of ministry and service would be motivated by God’s love for us, and our love for God (James 1:12, 2:5, Revelation 2:4).

PRAY MIRACLES FROM THE BIBLE

“As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.” (Matthew 14:15-21)

Pray that God will abundantly provide for the material and spiritual needs of those who hunger for Him.

MOVEMENT PRAYERS

from GOD’S GRACE FOR THE WORLD by Trevor Larson

Pray for Tunisian believers to heal the sick and cast out demons when God brings the afflicted to them—with Christ’s authority and for the advance of the gospel. Thank God for those who will be healed and freed from demons through Tunisian believers. Pray that healing miracles through them and others will draw many people to Christ and open new areas for the gospel. (Acts 28:7-10)
