Our Treasure in Jesus

God, we love you! As your Church, help us do what it takes to let the people of Tunisia grasp the Good News that we have complete forgiveness of all our sins IN Christ! (Ephesians 4:32)

Pray for a Tunisian Believer

S is a 34 year old woman. She led her husband and her young son to Jesus. This young Christian family actively shares about their new life in Christ with their extended family. Some of her relatives are starting to be interested. Pray for their parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews to see the Pearl of Great Price that S and her family have given everything up for. Pray they, too, would have the courage and grace to do the same..

Prayer for Boldness

“Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.” (Psalm 37:37 ESV).

Lord, would you raise up bold peacemakers within the church in Tunisia – men and women who believe wholeheartedly in your promise that there is a future for the man of peace. (Psalm 37:37) Jesus, ground the hopes of your followers in Tunisia in the future you have sovereignly prepared for them and guide their feet in the way of peace that leads to you and your glory.

Pray for a Segment of Society

Small business owners- “I’ll be right there!” Soumaya called cheerfully to the other side of the shop. She turned down the little gas burner where the homemade spicy turnovers sat baking on the cast iron pan. She loved to greet the school kids as they walked into her tiny shop. There were probably a hundred of them who visited her during their recess to buy a homemade snack from her, and she took pride in her care for them, knowing most of them by name. She handed the boy his snack and went back to the little burner where she’d stood for years, turning over one delicious offering at a time. With no one watching her, she tuned out the local Islamic radio station and her eyes flooded with tears… her husband’s cancer was clearly winning the fight for his body. As tumultuous as their 30 years of marriage had been, what would she do if he was gone? She thought of her son, now married and with two delightful little boys of his own, but with no stable job and her nagging feeling that he was drinking too much. Her youngest girls struggling through their later teen years and some heavy spiritual darkness, leaving one of them writhing on the floor with increasing frequency. She remembered the words of her Christian friends who helped her start this business years ago, “Jesus is the Light.” She believed it… sort of? There was evidence of that grace in so many places, but how could she ever receive Him as Lord? She shook her head. The love of these friends was among the sweetest things she’d ever known, but, “I was born a Muslim—that’s just what I am.” Even as she declared these things, that seed of doubt grew. Pray for hardworking small business owners like Soumaya. May they receive the Lord’s pursuit of them with confidence
