Our Treasure in Jesus
God, we love you! As your Church, help us do what it takes to let the people of Tunisia grasp the Good News that Jesus will bless those who are faithful in this life! (Matthew 24:47)
Pray for a Tunisian Believer
H is a 50-year-old woman with 3 grown children. She is a physician. Her family were in a horrible car accident that flipped their car, but no one was injured. During the accident, H called out to God for protection. H praises God for this miracle! H shares with her housekeeper, her family, and her husband’s family about what God has done in her life. H’s husband’s family are Islamic fundamentalists and reject her. Pray that God will open the hearts
Prayer for Boldness
“in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.” (Ephesians 3:12 ESV).
Lord God, grant your followers in Tunisia the boldness and confidence reserved for Sons and Daughters of the King as you reassure them not only of their salvation, but their commissioning as witnesses and ministers in this broken world. (Ephesians 3:12) Remove by your gentle spirit any lie or obstacle that would threaten the confidence with which these precious ones enter the Holy of Holies.
Pray for a Segment of Society
Semi-nomadic people “You are so lucky, your religion is so… light,” sighed Uncle Mabrouk with a painful half-smile that glowed under his carefully-tied turban. He and a Christian friend walked barefoot through the desert sand at the end of a long train of camels. Uncle Mabrouk, now a weathered, old man, has known the Sahara his entire life. Growing up in a nomadic family, Qu’ranic teachers were sent out to the tented camps of camel and goat herders to teach them Islam. Being Bedouin is synonymous with being Muslim, and people like Uncle Mabrouk feel trapped between following the only way they’ve ever known and believing that this whole thing about Jesus and grace could be true… even for them. Pray for these formerly and still semi-nomadic dear ones—that they would receive dreams and visions of the Good Shepherd Himself.
