Our Treasure in Jesus

God, we love you! As your Church, help us do what it takes to let the people of Tunisia grasp the Good News that we cannot be separated from your love IN Christ! (Romans 8:32)

Pray for a Tunisian Believer

Y is a 25 year old woman. She found new life in Christ after experiencing years of abuse and neglect as a child and young woman. Though she continues to have a hard life of instability and underemployment, she holds onto Jesus. For various reasons, she is not a part of a body of Christ. Pray for Y and the many other Tunisian Christians like her who know other believers but don’t regularly interact with them. Pray for breakthrough so that believers wouldn’t remain in isolation from one another.

Prayer for Boldness

“It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.” (Matthew 10:25 ESV).

Holy Spirit, would you breathe a spirit of spiritual satisfaction over your followers in Tunisia, that they might resist the temptations and condemnations of the world and, instead, joyfully rest knowing that it is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher and a servant like his master. (Matthew 10:25). Give your church in Tunisia a profound satisfaction in becoming more and more like you, even as the world scoffs and condemns.

Pray for a Segment of Society

The mentally unwell- The cigarette trembled between unstable fingers as she shared yet another horrific event from her past. You’d never know from Amal’s beautiful face and put-together appearance that getting out of bed was a massive accomplishment. You’d never know about the bipolar disorder, the abuse, the divorce, the dysfunction, the medications, the addictions… the way she had been both victim and victimizer. Most families with a mentally ill member suffer incredible stress, especially in a society where there is still so little understanding and so much fear, confusion, and shame surrounding mental health. Amal shared about Jesus coming to her in a dream. It is the light and love of Jesus alone that can bring restoration, healing, and hope to the hundreds of thousands who do hard battle with mental health issues. Pray for all those struggling with mental illness and its effects on their lives and the people around them, that they would find Christ’s hope and strength.
