Our Treasure in Jesus
God, we love you! As your Church, help us do what it takes to let the people of Tunisia grasp the Good News that you supply all our needs IN Christ! (Philippians 4:19)
Pray for a Tunisian Believer
W lives near Algeria. A college friend from Tunis told him about the Messiah, and he accepted Jesus and was baptized. W lives in a small community where everyone knows each other. Pray that W will have wisdom about how to share his testimony.
Prayer for Boldness
“Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.” (Psalm 56:9 ESV).
Father God, would you plant the seed of holy confidence in the hearts of your followers in Tunisia. May they grow in the humble, eternal assurance of your completed work of grace so that even in the darkest nights of persecution, loneliness, and temptation they might join the saints across generations in saying “This I know, that God is for me.” (Psalm 56:9).
Pray for a Segment of Society
Young brides- “What childhood? She was married by 13…” Selwa’s words came out a mixture of loathing and compassion. She knew that her mother’s emotional development was stunted as a result of being a child bride, yet the ripple effects of this situation had devastating generational consequences. Child marriage is less and less frequent in Tunisia, but Selwa’s neighbours just chose the same path for their daughter. The physical and emotional poverty of their household led their daughter to accept any invitation to escape her circumstances… even if it was to a man more than 20 years her senior who offered her French chocolate and an iPhone. Illiterate because of a learning disability brought on as a result of childhood trauma, she had very little hope, future, or social skills. Dressed in heavy, traditional garb, she handed off her baby to a guest so she could scroll TikTok and laugh with her 10 year old sister about a video game. Pray for women who have been married off at such young ages—they are often treated more as servants than family members and are routinely abused. May Jesus shine light in their darkest hours, that they would know their Heavenly Father, who is strong, protective, and loyal.
