TESTIMONY FROM A TUNISIAN BELIEVER

I am originally from Le Kef. I know Islam well. That is why, when I decided to get married, I trusted in the Hadith that said that if you marry and are poor, God will give you money. However, the reality is that I married, and we are still so poor that I cannot afford diapers for my daughter. I could not find a job. Finally, my wife and daughter had to move in with relatives so that they could have housing and food. The more I read in the Koran and the Hadith, the more I doubted. A group of my friends gather often, and we discuss the faults we find in Islam. In my searching, I came across a Facebook Page and eventually met a Christian. As he began to explain Christ’s salvation, I realized that the cross was the only place where justice and mercy can meet. We need a perfect sacrifice, but only the Messiah could make that sacrifice because only He is perfect and all-powerful. Please pray for my group of friends who are disillusioned and searching. Pray that we can become a family of brothers in Christ and grow together. Pray that God will provide work for me so that my family can live together again.

OBSTACLE TO A DISCIPLE MAKING MOVEMENT IN TUNISIA

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine that God could use us in our weakness. Many new believers are hesitant to start groups in their homes because they are afraid they don’t know enough. Pray that young believers will rely on God’s Word and the Holy Spirit as they discover with their friends and family.

PRAY MIRACLES FROM THE BIBLE

“…As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat…” (Joshua 6:20) As God made the walls of Jericho fall down, pray today for whatever walls (religion, fear, money) that keep Tunisians from seeing the beauty and the call of Christ to fall in Jesus’ name.

MOVEMENT PRAYERS

from GOD’S GRACE FOR THE WORLD by Trevor Larson

“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:21-22) Pray for Tunisians to have spiritual children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Pray that these spiritual children would witness to their families and communities about Christ in their lives. Pray that their witness would be strengthened by the unity shared between believers.

ZUME PRAYER

God, we pray for believers in Gafsa, Tunisia who will know how easy it is to spend an hour in prayer with you, and will do it. https://zume.training/how-to-spend-an-hour-in-prayer/
