A church planting movement (CPM) or disciple making movement (DMM) can be defined as “the multiplication of disciples making disciples and leaders developing leaders, resulting in indigenous churches planting churches which begin to spread rapidly through a people group or population segment.” Click here to read more about gospel movements.

Declare a Promise

Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

With faith and confidence, we declare the Gospel of the Kingdom will spread throughout the nation of Lebanon. We know it is not a question of ’if’, but a question of ’when’. Lord, let us see all of Lebanon reached in our lifetime.

Today’s Movement Theme: DREAMS

Across all gospel movements throughout the world, we see people having dreams and visions of Jesus. These encounters help to catalyze the spread of emerging churches and leaders.

Today, on this first day of Ramadan, let us cry out in one voice and ask the God of dreams and the Lord of visions–Jesus, Lebanon’s Messiah–to visit our Muslim brothers and sisters during their special month of fasting and prayer.

  1. Ask: for dreams in the north and south, in the east and west of Lebanon.
  2. Ask: for dreams in the major cities: Tripoli, Beirut, Saida, and Tyre.
  3. Ask: for dreams in the villages of the Bekaa and the mountain regions of Lebanon.

Pray the Scripture

Acts 2:16-21 “What you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel: ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike—and they will prophesy.  And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below…before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

  1. Ask: God to pour out his Spirit
  2. Ask: that young and old, rich and poor, male and female would be filled with God’s Spirit
  3. Ask: for visions and dreams
  4. Ask: for power encounters with the living God

Acts 10:30-33 Cornelius replied, “Four days ago I was praying in my house about this same time, three o’clock in the afternoon. Suddenly, a man in dazzling clothes was standing in front of me. He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been noticed by God! Now send messengers to Joppa, and summon a man named Simon Peter. He is staying in the home of Simon, a tanner who lives near the seashore.’ So I sent for you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here, waiting before God to hear the message the Lord has given you.

  1. Ask: for open visions
  2. Ask: for apostles to access new communities
  3. Ask: for God’s Spirit to respond to those like the Centurion who are genuinely seeking Him

Pray

Lord, you did it then, and you can do it now. You are the God of dreams and visions. Lord we pray in one voice that you would visit our Muslim brothers and sisters in the night in dreams. And we pray, too, that you would visit them during the day in open visions. We believe your heart is for movement breakthrough in Lebanon, so let your Kingdom come and your will be done here in Lebanon as in heaven.
